Agriscience Foundations

Description

The Agriscience Foundations course is designed as an introductory course for anyone considering a career or other roles in agriculture, ranging from a beginning farmer to an agriculture researcher, an environmental or public policy specialist, in this critical part of our communities, economy, and heritage. This course helps prepare one to take and pass the Agriscience Foundations certification exam, part of the Agriscience & Technology group of courses in Certiport’s Career Technical Education series. The course covers the application of basic plant, animal, and soil science; food safety; agricultural safety and regulatory practices; record keeping/documentation; and the efficient and effective use of resources.
